Would you benefit from free or low-cost legal advice?

Small business owners seek legal advice for many different reasons. Whether you want to buy or sell a business, resolve an HR problem, dissolve a partnership or get help with any other issue, you need to be able to get legal advice at a reasonable cost.

The BEC offers free information to help you to understand the rules and regulations governing small business. We can provide you with general guidance on the effects of new legislation and helpful information about a range of legal issues that affect business owners.

If you need further, specialised advice, we can refer you to a qualified solicitor who will be able to answer your specific legal questions. Some small business owners may also qualify for membership to the BEC Business Plan, which is exclusively available to BEC clients.

BEC Business Plan

BEC Business Plan members are entitled to a range of legal services provided by a qualified lawyer. These services include telephone advice for up to one hour per issue, up to six letters per year for any matter, a simple Will (including updates and powers of attorney), advice on the sale and purchase of property, information about employment law and many other benefits. The BEC will pay for the first year of membership for qualifying small business owners. Conditions apply so contact us now for more information.
